For all who want to know more:

Plant, history and cultivation
The Lucuma tree (Pourteria lucuma) occurs in the southern Andes and has already been appreciated and cultivated by the Incas. The tree forms sweet-tasting fruits with green skin and yellow-orange flesh. The Lucuma fruit is one of the most cultivated fruits in Peru and is also known as "Inca gold".

Ingredients, nutrition and use
In Europe Lucuma is mainly available as a nutrient-rich powder. Our Lucuma powder is produced gently at low temperatures, and therefore has raw food quality. Lucuma is perfectly suited as a natural substitute for artificial sweeteners or refined sugar.
Due to its sweet taste Lucuma enjoys great popularity. In South America, the flavour "Lucuma", for example as ice cream, is more popular in many places than the flavours "vanilla" or "chocolate" which are widespread in Europe.
