Plant, history and cultivation
The Camu Camu shrub (Myrciaria dubia) is one of them the myrtle plants. The plant is native to the tropical rainforests of South America in the western Amazon. It grows to a height of three to six meters and blooms between July and September. Camu-Camu bushes carry, for example, cherry-sized, orange-red berries with a fruity, slightly sour taste. Only ripe, fresh fruits are collected to produce the powder. These are fermented, dried and pulverized at low temperature. The valuable nutrients of the Camu-Camu berries are therefore contained in the powder in a concentrated form.

Ingredients, nutrition and use:
Camu-Camu berries are part of traditional local medicine. They have a high vitamin C content. This helps to support the immune system and reduce fatigue. Camu Camu can be mixed with various foods and drinks. For example in muesli, bowls or smoothies.
